1. How often do you take public transportation?
At least two or three times a week. The only places that I typically drive to are the grocery store and the Aquinas Literacy Center — and that’s strictly for logistical reasons. Bret takes the train to and from work every day, so I’m pretty pleased with our utilization of the many transport options that Chicago has to offer.
2. How many cousins do you have?
Well, on my mother’s side I have 4 cousins, 3 cousins-in-law and 3 cousins once removed. On my father’s side I have 11 cousins, 4 cousins-in-law and 3 cousins once removed.
In my new family, I have 8 cousins-in-law and at least 42 second/third cousins-in-law who we see with some regularity (I lost count). This brings me to a grand total of 70+ cousins.
…Catholics do it better and with more frequency?
3. Have you ever fired a gun?
Negatory. Although I did once shoot my dad in the face with a cork gun. In my defense, it was an accident.
4. Do you ride roller coasters?
I haven’t recently, but I always used to really enjoy them. Then again, I’m also one of those freaks that really enjoys the Zipper ride at the fair. Plus, my husband is extremely anti-roller coaster, which means that any fun festival experiences for my progeny will have to be facilitated by me.
5. What’s your favorite flower?
I like dahlias.
6. Are you allergic to anything?
Cats and apple skins.
