Summer’s over, guys. Which is fine by me. I don’t like heat, humidity or occasions where it’s uncomfortable to wear a cardigan. Still, I know a lot of people feel a little out of sorts when fall arrives, so I’m here to help you focus on the bright side.

You can buy all the cheap school supplies that your little heart desires.
When I was a small child, my favorite part of the back to school season was going out to purchase my school supplies. Index cards, notebooks, highlighters — I loved them all. I still do, but now that I have to pay to support my own school supply habit, I like to buy all this stuff on the cheap.
All of them for me! All of them for cheeeeeeap!
If school’s been in session for than a few weeks, you can find cheap index cards. If you find a surplus, you can send some to me.

College Football is back!
This is us last year — repping for the lesser enemy against our greater common enemy. Because the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
I love me some college football. I love it so much that we’re trekking all the way into enemy territory to watch the last epic throw down between Michigan and Notre Dame.
Go Blue!

Cardigans are cool again.
I want to look cool like this guy.
My friends, I spend all summer, every summer wearing cardigans and getting asked about my comfort levels. Now that the weather is cooling down, I can wear cardigans without being asked if I’m over heating.

The leaves are changing.
Who doesn’t love fall foliage?

Television is back!
I mean, technically, television never really left since we have summer TV and all that jazz, but everyone knows that fall TV is way, way better.
Welcome back, Scandal! I’ve missed you terribly.

I’m going to be doing a lot of shopping.
Every year, my lady in-laws spend a weekend outlet shopping. Last year was my first time in attendance and it was a little overwhelming (plus, you know, we were really poor). This year, though, I’m going in with a plan.

Cooler weather means more opportunities to drink beer and whiskey.
I know, I know. Most people think summer is the time to drink beer. I disagree, however. I think summer is prime vodka-lemonade time. Autumn, however, is the season for beer and whiskey drinks. I forsee the sweet, sweet taste of Irish Coffee in my future.
Are you looking forward to September? What are you up to this month?
