It is a Holy Day of Obligation, after all.

It’s also a Meat Friday. We’re going out to dinner after Mass, but if we weren’t, we’d be eating bacon.

Say the Rosary.

…This seems pretty self-explanatory, actually.

Eat dessert.

Homph gomph gomph.

Kendra says desserts are mandatory on Solemnities, so we’ll also be eating dessert when we go out to dinner.

Makes some blue cookies.

If you’re eating dinner at home, I highly recommend dying your dessert blue. It’s a festive way to celebrate Our Lady of the Shortening-based Baked Goods.

Do something different.

I find that the best way to make a day feel special is to do something different from my normal routine. Go for a walk, eat half a pound of bacon, grocery shop on Friday — y’know, stuff like that.

— 7 —

Call your grandmother.

This has nothing to do with the Assumption, but I bet it’ll make her happy.
