1. Do you have a land line?

I do! People think it’s really weird when they find out about it, too. The fact of the matter is that half of our house is underground and we live in a concrete building from the 1920s. If we didn’t have a landline, no one would be able to call us, ever.

This is what I look like when the phone rings.

Also, I know a lot of people hate, hate, hate it when people they don’t know call their landline phones. Here’s a confession: I sort of love it. Working from home, I’ve become one of those people that loves talking to telemarketers. Shall we have a moment of silence for the repose of my dignity?

2. What is your least favorite food?

Wishbone Italian Salad Dressing.

Seriously, kill it with fire. It’s banned from my household and it was brought up as a “deal breaker” in pre-marital counseling. Just say no to Wishbone, people.

3. What’s on your summer reading list?

Well, I’m currently making my way through Brideshead Revisited with Haley and her merry band of readers. Next on my list is Duel for the Crown, which is the story of Affirmed and Alydar. I’m also reading this book on my phone:

After that, the world is my oyster.

What should I read next?

4. Is there something that people consistently ask for your advice on? What is it?

In my current occupation, I get a lot of questions about sending emails to people — because, you know, that’s what I do for a living. In my general life, I get asked a lot of questions about Catholicism. “Can a divorced person do this?” “Can a person who is gay do this?” and et cetera, et cetera.

Although, now that I think about it, those really aren’t solicitations for advice so much as they are questions about stuff.

5. What’s the most physically demanding thing you’ve ever done?

I did the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure with my friend Domenic in honor of his late mother. That was pretty rough, physically and emotionally.

Additionally, the heat was "hazardous."

6. How do you feel about massages?

I’ve never had a massage from a person who does massages, but I wouldn’t be opposed to trying it out one day. Is it worth it?

This outfit is all about Saturday Night’s hair and makeup with Sunday Morning’s sunny disposition and enthusiasm for golf. I’m sure Father Joe really appreciated the spikes when I was being a Eucharistic Minister.

Just kidding! I wore this:

Night time grocery shopping.

I’m actually a little enh about this outfit. Full disclosure: I totally phoned it in on this. I woke up from my post-golf, pre-church nap approximately 15 minutes before we were supposed to leave. It was all I could do to shower and throw on clothes before we left.
