After three days of “sticking out” the bug that kept me up all night on Monday, I got myself to an urgent care facility. Now, I’ve got some real nice antibiotics.

Antibiotics are great and all, because I don’t want to be sick anymore, but I’m sort of bummed out that champagne is off the table at my friend’s bachelorette party tomorrow. Plus, I can’t really taste anything. Is that just me or does everyone lose their tastebuds when they’re on antibiotics?

We had our student graduation banquet at Aquinas last night. It was so very exciting to see all of our students accept their awards! Plus, the whole thing was a potluck, so I go to eat a whole lot of delicious food.

I go through random jags of obsession with television shows about random topics. For the past month of so, it’s been shows about Alaska and organized crime. This morning, though, I discovered a whole bunch of shows about polygamists. Sorry, mobsters! Polygamists are so much more fascinating.

I don’t know how many (if any) of you watch shows about polygamists, but the thing that really blows my mind is how mundane it all seems. Like, there’s a polygamist way to grocery shop, apparently.

Which gets me to thinking: their lives are mundane, my life is mundane, how different are we really?

Lest you think that I’m going to run off to join the polygamists, don’t you worry! I’ve given it a lot of thought, though. If Bret ever tells me that God told him to get a second wife, I’ll tell him that God told me that he needs therapy.

I’m taking myself for a pedicure today. I haven’t had any professional help in the foot-appearance department since I graduated college and today seems like as good a day as ever to get them cleaned up.

My feet don’t look like that, but wouldn’t it be cool if they did?

Bret and I are going to run a 10K at the end of July. Training starts Monday and we’re going to try not to kill each other.

Any tips from the running masses?

Finally, I have a meeting with an admissions counselor at Loyola on Monday. I’m on the fence about graduate school right now, so if you could send some prayers my way, that would be great.

Sort of, but not really.
